Digital Security - Digital Health and Wellbeing

Digital Health and Wellbeing

Digital Health & Wellness is keeping teenagers away from danger of physical and psychological harm. Many problems can be contributed to electronic devices (Ribble, 2011). Teenagers need to be aware of the risks of digital predators that they may meet online. It is crucial that teenagers are informed of the hazards of digital life and how to keep healthy and safe.

As the world today has such a digital importance, and dependence on the internet is high, we need to make sure that people know and understand the physical and psychological damage and risks that can occur
 (Ribble, 2011).

Without the thorough understanding of digital health and wellness and digital safety, you are under the major risk of being in danger.
People today, especially teenagers, sometimes take for granted the privacy or risks that can be corrupted through the internet
(Ribble, 2011). Some children don't realize the dangers they face when innocently browsing the internet, or chatting to someone that they met online.

Children And The Internet

The Internet is an increasing part of today’s culture, especially for children and youth, for whom schoolwork, online gaming, and social networking are among the most popular activities (Ribble, 2009). However, the lack of common agreement about the right approach to educating and protecting children adds further challenges to a child’s online experience and expression. Additionally, cultural and geographical differences in legal and social norms reflect the fact that there is no universally accepted view of what defines a person as a child, or of what is appropriate (Ribble, 2009).

Infrastructure: We work to make sure the infrastructure in your town, village, or community is in place in order to support the Internet. This means everything from the way cities are built to making sure there’s proper equipment like computers, modems, telephone lines and network hardware available to run the hardware that makes up what we know as the Internet.

User experience: From a usability perspective, we work to make sure that everyone – regardless of their age, language they speak, or their physical or mental abilities – can access the applications that run on the Internet (like the World Wide Web) and have the same experience.

Cost: Being able to access the Internet has an economic facet, as the cost of infrastructure, equipment, and services can determine the level of access available to regions, communities, and individuals.for children, making.\

GLOGSTER

glog, in education technology parlance, is a portmanteau of "graphical blog".  Put simply, it is an interactive multimedia image; it looks like a poster, but readers can interact with the content.

Glogster provides an environment to design interactive posters based on Adobe Flash elements. The user inserts text, images, photos, audio, videos, special effects, and other elements into their glogs to generate a multimedia online creation.  Posters can then be shared with other users on the site, embedded in external wikis or blogs, and shared via many social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.  Glogs can also be exported and saved to computer-compatible formats.ppropriate content and behaviour” hard to define.
